THE GOJHL ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OPPORTUNITY

The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) announced today the league is accepting applications from new ownership groups. Franchise(s) will be identified and approved following a successful expansion process.

The league is rich in history and continues to provide incredible development opportunities for players to succeed through our current teams. “The success of our league is a direct result of the strength of our current ownership groups. The GOJHL proudly includes both private and community-based ownership groups,” said Craig Spada, Vice President.

The GOJHL brand has evolved over our many years and the league office receives inquiries on a regular basis for expansion teams and from current OHA teams. “We are now looking for new communities to join our family. The GOJHL is excited about the process ahead and the eventual welcoming of new partners to join our Board of Governors table,” he added.

Qualified new ownership groups that apply will operate within the geographical boundaries of the Ontario Hockey Association.
The GOJHL will manage the expansion process through the league office and the GOJHL Board of Directors. The Ontario Hockey Federation and the Ontario Hockey Association will provide final completion in the expansion process.
