June 16, 2023 – The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is releasing the following statement regarding the Niagara Falls Canucks’ announcement they are moving to the Ontario Junior Hockey League:
“We want to thank the Canucks for their tenure with the GOJHL and wish them luck as they enter the Ontario Junior Hockey League for the 2023-24 season. Niagara Falls won two Sutherland Cups in the modern era in 1996 and 1998.
The GOJHL will continue to focus on our teams who are committed to producing a competitive league that develops hockey players and young men.”
