The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) is proud to announce the 2019 GOJHL Future and Top Prospect Games will be held at the Waterloo Memorial Rec Complex Saturday December 28, 2019.
Player Roster for this year’s Future and Top Prospect games will be announced Mid December.
Game #1 Future Stars (puck drops at 12:00 PM will feature our top 16-year-old players, while Game #2 Top Prospects (puck drops at 3:00 PM will be comprised of our top 17, and 18-year-old players.
Players representing the twenty-six Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League teams will battle head-to-head in front of pro, junior and university scouts.
The GOJHL is a premiere development league (part of the Ontario Hockey Association) with over 110 players having made commitments to OHL, NCAA and U-Sports over the past two seasons. Recent Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League grads now in the National Hockey League include Mark Scheifele, Tanner Pearson, Dan Girardi, Logan Couture,
“The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League has developed some of the top hockey talent in Ontario” said GOJHL Commissioner Mark Tuck “Our Future and Top Prospects Games will identify the next crop of elite players in Ontario.”
The GOJHL Top Prospect Games are also used to promote a path to post-secondary education for the athletes. Many GOJHL graduates move on to play in the NCAA and U-Sports while attending college/university.
Partners for the 2019 GOJHL Top Prospect Games include: Hockey TV, Northland Sports, Monkey Sports, Ontario Hockey League [OHL] and the Waterloo Siskins junior hockey club.
