GOJHL PARTNERS WITH EVENTMED TO ENHANCE PLAYER SAFETY DURING SUTHERLAND CUP PLAYOFFS
The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) has announced a collaboration with “Eventmed Paramedic Services” to bolster player safety during the Sutherland Cup playoffs and subsequent championship run.
Under this partnership, Eventmed will provide highly trained paramedics at GOJHL arenas throughout the playoffs, ensuring swift and expert medical attention in case of emergencies. This initiative reflects the league’s unwavering commitment to prioritizing player welfare and enhancing the overall game experience for players and fans alike.
Craig Spada, Vice President of the GOJHL, emphasized the importance of this collaboration, stating, “Much in the suspension process takes place unknown to the public in order to continuously improve player safety. This agreement with Eventmed now provides another layer in player safety public in our rinks.”
The GOJHL has long been recognized for its dedication to player development, with numerous players making significant commitments to the OHL and NCAA Division 1 teams in recent seasons, Interim Commissioner Tim Simmons remarked, “When we put the players first good things happen, players, parents and fans are seeing our league as a place to play and support.”
With record attendance and growing recognition for its talented players, the GOJHL is solidifying its position as a leading junior hockey league. The addition of Eventmed paramedics further elevates the league’s reputation for player safety and professionalism, setting a new standard in the hockey community.
For many fans in western and southern Ontario, the Sutherland Cup is the highlight of Junior hockey for the season.
