Hamilton Kilty B’s 2
Ayr Centennials 3 (OT)
Matthew Prendergast scored on a breakaway with 15 seconds left in overtime to give the Ayr Centennials a 3-2 win over the Hamilton Kilty B’s in the opening game of the 2025-26 season for both teams.
Lukas Marik had a goal and an assist for the Centennials, while Guelph Storm draft pick Carter Lewandowski scored the other Ayr goal in his GOJHL debut.
Also scoring his first GOJHL goal in his first GOJHL game was Hamilton’s Owen Miehm, a Barrie Colts draft pick. Cooper Reid scored the other goal for the Kilty B’s.
Elliott Hartwick stopped 34 of 36 shots faced for his first win of the season for the Ayr. Former Centennials netminder Kayden Newton made 39 saves for the Kilty B’s.
