Vipers End Skid With Important Victory In Front Of Dads

On Saturday night in Strathroy, the LaSalle Vipers found some timely offense to pick up an important win over the Strathroy Rockets and bump a three-game losing-streak in the process.

With many of the Vipers dads making the trip, the team got a boost from their special teams as well as the trio of Jack Bowler, Stephane Crevier and Spencer Paradis who all had three points in the game.

Clinging to a 2-1 lead heading into the third period, Crevier found the back of the net early in the frame and was followed up by a huge short-handed tally from Cayden Faust that was started by great forechecking work by Nic Pavia. Strathroy was able to cut the lead to two but Crevier put things to rest with his second of the evening just shy of the 12:00 mark of the third.

Ethan Hamelin and the red-hot Spencer Paradis, who scored the lone goal in Friday night’s 2-1 loss in St. Thomas, scored the other two LaSalle goals, while Matthew Sbrocca made 25 saves for his ninth win of the season.

An important two points puts the Vipers four points ahead of Chatham for fourth-place in the Western Conference with the Maroons now holding a game in hand.
