The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) in conjunction with the Ontario Hockey Association (OHA) will be hosting its sixth annual Showcase Event on Saturday October 12th in St. Catharines, Ontario.

The St. Catharines Falcons organization, along with the assistance and support of the Golden Horseshoe Conference will host the one day showcase at the Seymour Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre.

The GOJHL’s 27-teams will meet to play an interlock schedule that has teams from the Golden Horseshoe, Midwestern and Western Ontario Conferences facing off against each other. Each team will play another team from a different conference, with the game counting towards their regular season standings.

This year the event will include 14 games, with one special game taking place which will include the newest entry to the GOJHL, Brantford 99er’s playing a Top Prospects team comprised of 97-95 birth years from the Golden Horseshoe Conference.

The 2012 Showcase took place in St. Catharines, where the Western Conference prevailed, winning six games, followed by the Golden Horseshoe Conference winning five and the Midwestern Conference with two.

The showcase is an opportunity to evaluate and interact with GOJHL prospect players seeking to progress to elite levels such as the OHL, CIS, NCAA, and professional hockey. The event has become a huge success in the last four seasons drawing in thousands of fans and a large number of scouts from across North America.

Now in its eighth season, the GOJHL continues to grow and develop great talent to move on to the next level.

We look forward to seeing you at the 2013 GOJHL Showcase.
