Pair of GOJHL players receive Dairy Farmers of Ontario bursaries

Dairy Farmers of Ontario Bursary

June 28, 2022 – The Ontario Hockey Association has announced a pair of GOJHL players are amongst six outstanding players to receive an $8,000 bursary from the Dairy Farmers of Ontario (DFO) to further their post-secondary education.

Blain Bacik of the Chatham Maroons & Drew Booker of the LaSalle Vipers will each receive a bursary which is funded directly by Ontario dairy producers. The awards recognize young athletes who show leadership in building strong and healthy communities, demonstrate high academic achievement, and get results on the ice with passion and love of the game.

“Education is at the forefront of our focus in the Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) and we greatly appreciate the Dairy Farmers of Ontario providing this tremendous opportunity for our players.” said GOJHL Commissioner Brent Garbutt. “Blain & Drew are tremendous leaders in our league and we congratulate them on this award.”
