OCTOBER PLAYERS-OF-THE-MONTH FOR THE WESTERN CONFERENCE

NOVEMBER 2021 – The GOJHL announced the first recipients for the players-of-the-month of the 2021-22 season for September and October in the Western Conference.

Entering his 3rd GOJHL season and first with the London Nationals, forward Zach Power led the entire GOJHL in scoring to capture the Offensive Player-of-the-Month award.  Posting a blistering 2.7 points per game, the Glencoe, ON native tallied 10 goals and 17 assists to help his Nationals get off to an 8-3 start.

Leamington Flyers captain Colton O’Brien was awarded the Defensive Player-of-the-Month honours.  The defenseman from Belle River, ON is in his 3rd GOJHL season after playing for the QMJHL’s Quebec Remparts during the 2019-20 season.  O’Brien posted three goals and four assists in 10 games while helping his team to the fewest goals allowed per game in the Western Conference with 2.08.

Another Leamington Flyers player captured a monthly award with Ryan Polidori being named the Goaltender-of-the-Month. The Windsor, ON native put up a 7-1-0 record in eight games, combined with a 1.88 GAA and .944 SV% to help his Flyers get off to a terrific start.  Polidori was selected to the 2019 Top Prospects Game after being selected 11th overall by the Oshawa Generals in the 2018 OHL U18 Draft.
