New Stars Assistant Coach

The St. Thomas Stars are proud to announce that Mike Teeple will be their 2019 – 2020 Assistant Coach.

Coaching Goals

1. Develop good people.

2. Create a “team first” attitude.

3. Sutherland Cup Championship.

Mike believes that coaching is not all about hockey. The goal is to win, but more importantly, he aims to develop his young players into good men both on and off the ice. He has more than 20 years of management experience, combined with his hockey experience, he has learned that it takes different levels of skill and ability to make a great team. Mike views his role as a coach as an opportunity to grow each player to help achieve both team and individual goals.

Mike, who has worked with recently named Stars head coach, Rob Coutts over the past three seasons had this to say about their partnership: “I believe that we compliment each other well as a coaching team, each offering differing skills and knowledge.”
