NEW OWNERSHIP FOR THE STRATHROY ROCKETS

 

The GOJHL is pleased to announce an exciting new chapter is about to begin in Strathroy with the sale of the Rockets to Cory Conacher.

The retired veteran of almost 200 NHL games will be the sole owner of the team, “ I’m super excited to take on this chapter with a junior team and make a positive impact on the community” says Conacher.

Taking on the role of General Manager will be Andrew Ferlatte.

“Both Cory and I are honoured to be welcomed into a league with such a rich history like the GOJHL and to be able to build on an already storied franchise like the Strathroy Rockets is a tremendous opportunity, we are grateful to join the Strathroy community with a goal to win a Sutherland Cup” says Ferlatte.

“We would like to thank Kent Coleman the teams former President and Director of Hockey Operations for his many years of hard work and dedication to the Rockets and the GOJHL”, says Interim Commissioner Tim Simmons. “We are thrilled to add a new owner with Cory’s resume and experience to the GOJHL and wish him all the best in this new chapter of his hockey career”.
