LaSalle Vipers lose 4-1 to Leamington Thursday

The LaSalle Vipers lost 4-1 to Essex County rival Leamington Flyers Thursday in a penalty-filled game.

Leamington took a 1-0 lead less than a minute into the game on an unassisted goal by Thomas Michaud.

The Vipers tied it up three minutes into the second period on a goal by defence man Danny Skinner, assisted by Spencer Paradis.

Goals by Flyers’ Adam Jeffery and Jake Eaton less than a minute apart early in the third period decided the game. The Flyers added a power play goal by Ryan Gagnier with about two minutes to go.

The Vipers had 12 penalties and the Flyers nine, but power play time favoured the Flyers. The Vipers were 0-2 on their power play chances and the Flyers were 1-7. Shots were 33-31 in favour of the Flyers.
