Kilty B’s pour in seven to knock off Niagara Falls

 

Faced with a challenging schedule down the stretch run, the Kilty B’s responded with another big win on Monday night to extend their win streak to three games.

Nolan Slachetka scored twice, while captain Jacob Macdonald had a goal and three assists as the Kilty B’s knocked off the second-place Niagara Falls Canucks with a 7-4 win at Dave Andreychuk Mountain Arena.

Goaltender Justin Easter turned aside 33 of 37 shots to earn the win in net.

Eli Rivers, Nick Giamou, Cameron Gauvreau and Nolan Underwood also scored for the Kilty B’s (25-14-3), who led 2-1 after the first period and 4-3 after the second.

Andrew Bruno, Dan Singer, Carson Edwardson and Justin Kyle scored for the Canucks (28-10-4).

On Sunday, the Kilty B’s earned a 5-1 road win over the Welland Jr. Canadians. Ellis Rickwood scored twice, while Mike Marchesan, Macdonald and Underwood added one each. Goaltender Matteo Drobac stopped 29 of 30 shots to earn the win.

The Kilty ‘Bs travel to Niagara Falls on Friday for a rematch with the Canucks before hosting the first-place Caledonia Corvairs on Monday at 7 p.m.
