Upset wins for Sugar Kings, Panthers;  Ayr wins 12th straight

Brett Warrilow scored the game-winner with 15 seconds left in the second period as the Sugar Kings (11-9-3-0) snapped a three-game road winless streak with the upset win.  Jak Thiessen scored his team-leading 11th goal for the Vipers (14-6-0-0) who had their seven-game home win streak snapped.


Cambridge Redhawks 2
Pelham Panthers 5

Dylan Leslie scored his team-leading 8th and 9th goals of the season and Logan Snyder (12th round, Brantford Bulldogs, 2023) made 39 saves as the Panthers (5-12-4-0) snapped a four-game winless streak.  Cameron Fries scored both goals for the Redhawks (11-8-1-1) who had their five-game road point streak snapped.

Ayr Centennials 3

Austin Keleher scored the go-ahead goal with 2 seconds left in the second period as the Centennials (16-3-0-0) extended their winning streak to 12 games, the longest in the GOJHL this season.  The Sailors (11-8-1-1) were 0/6 on the power play and had their three-game point streak snapped.


St. Thomas Stars 1
KW Siskins 5

Kayden Oliver (9th round, Kingston Frontenacs, 2024) and Nathaniel Rose scored power play goals, and Boston Bourque scored an unassisted short-handed goal as the Siskins (8-8-3-2) snapped their four-game winless streak.  Alex Joyce scored his first career GOJHL goal for the Stars (4-11-3-1) who are winless in four (0-3-1-0).


Stratford Warriors 2 (OT)
Chatham Maroons 1

In Stratford’s first game in Chatham since the 1999 Sutherland Cup Finals, Hunter Nagge scored 41 seconds into overtime as the Warriors (14-6-0-0) moved into a tie with the LaSalle Vipers for second place in the Western Conference.  Atley Rogers scored the lone goal for the Maroons (12-6-2-0) as the league’s highest scoring team were held to one goal at home for the first time since a 4-1 loss to London on Oct.8, 2023 (32 games).

Welland Canadians 3 (OT)

Joshua Cacciola scored his second goal of the game 4:31 into overtime as the Canadians (7-13-1-0) rallied from a 2-1 third period deficit to snap their six-game home winless streak.   Tyler Crisostomo scored two goals for the Bandits (7-12-2-0) who had won two in a row on the road.
