GOJHL Sunday Recap (Nov.10)

Della Croce notches hat-trick as Sugar Kings rally to beat Nationals.                             

London Nationals 3 at Elmira Sugar Kings 5

Joey Martin scored the go-ahead goal with 1:31 left in the third period and the GOJHL’s goal-scoring leader Luke Della Croce recorded his third hat-trick of the season as the Sugar Kings (10-8-3-0) scored three unanswered goals in the final 4:17 to earn their second home win in as many nights.   Austen Pomerleau scored twice for the Nationals (10-4-2-1), who suffered their second straight road loss.


LaSalle Vipers 0 at Listowel Cyclones 1

Cam McNevan scored the only goal of the game six minutes into the third period and Jack Bree made 26 saves to earn his first career GOJHL shutout for the Cyclones (11-4-1-0), who have points in each of their last nine games (8-0-1-0).   The Vipers (13-5-0-0) saw their four-game win streak ended, missing a chance to move into a first-place tie with the St. Marys Lincolns in the Western Conference standings.


Sarnia Legionnaires 3 at KW Siskins 1

The Legionnaires (6-9-2-0) erased an early 1-0 deficit, scoring three unanswered goals enroute to their third straight win.  The Siskins (7-8-2-2) have lost three straight.


Brantford Titans 5 at Pelham Panthers 2

Kaleb Frank scored two goals – his third and fourth in four games with Brantford – to lead the Titans (6-11-1-0).  Dylan Leslie scored both goals for the Panthers (4-12-3-0), who suffered their third straight loss.


Stratford Warriors 1 at Chatham Maroons 2

Brody Gillis scored the eventual game-winner midway through the third period as the Maroons (11-6-1-0) won their fourth straight home game in front of a season-high 742 spectators at Memorial Arena.  Hunter Nagge scored the lone goal for the Warriors (12-6-0-0), who were outshot 50-32.


Hamilton Kilty B’s 4 at Welland Canadians 1

Jonny Brooks scored his team-leading 10th and 11th goals of the season for the Kilty B’s, who moved into a tie for 5th with Caledonia in the Eastern Conference standings with the win.  Jack Ryan scored his team-leading 15th goal for the Canadians (5-13-1-0), who are winless in 11 games (0-10-1-0)
