GOJHL MOURNS LOSS OF STRATFORD’S SCHOONDERWOERD

The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is heartbroken by the terrible news of the passing of Stratford Warriors forward Carter Schoonderwoerd.

Schoonderwoerd, a Mitchell, ON native affiliated with the Listowel Cyclones in 2017-18 before beginning his GOJHL career in 2018-19 with the St. Marys Lincolns.  He would split his 2019-20 season between the Lincolns and Stratford Warriors.

The 6-foot-4, 216 lb. Captain of the Huron-Perth Lakers U16 program was selected by the Peterborough Petes in the 11th round (203rd overall) of the 2018 OHL Priority Selection.

The GOJHL and all member teams extend their sincere thoughts, prayers and condolences to Carter’s family, past and present teammates, friends and the entire Stratford Warriors organization.
