Falcons down Corvairs for 5th straight win and share of first place

Nathan Duplessis two goals – giving him four total points in two games against his former team – as  the Falcons (15-5-0-0) extended their winning streak to five games and moved into a tie with the Ayr Centennials for first place in the Eastern Conference.  The Corvairs (10-8-2-0) are winless in six games (0-4-2-0), the longest such streak in franchise history.

Vasily Serov scored his team-leading 9th and 10th goals of the season and Stephen Amaro made 19 saves to improve his record to 4-0-0 as the Sailors (11-7-1-1) won their second game in two nights to move into a tie with the Cambridge Redhawks for fourth place in the Eastern Conference.  The Bombers (1-18-0-0) suffered their 18th straight loss.

GOJHL rookie scoring leader Eddie Hickson scored for the Nationals (11-5-2-1) who erased an early 2-0 deficit and snapped their two-game road losing streak.  In front of a season-high 718 spectators at the Steve Kerr M.C., Wylie Birkett recorded his 100th career GOJHL point with a goal for the Cyclones (11-5-1-0) who had their nine-game point streak snapped.

Owen Voortman scored two goals as the Lincolns (15-3-0-0) got back into the win column after two straight losses and reclaimed sole possession of first place in the Western Conference.  Lincoln Moore extended his goal-scoring streak to five games with his 9th and 10th goals for the Stars (4-10-2-1).

Stratford Warriors 7

The Warriors (13-6-0-0) scored twice in the opening 1:04 of the game and cruised to their third straight home win, moving into sole possession of third place in the Western Conference.  Jagan Chandardat scored the lone goal for the Kings (3-15-1-0).
