GOJHL Announces the Collins Clothiers Players of the Month for February 2023

London Nationals forward Sam O’Reilly had such an amazing February he has been named the Collins Clothiers Player of the Month and the Rookie of the Month for February. The 16-year-old Toronto native scored 8 goals and added 17 assists in 10 games and ended his rookie season with 63 points in 35 games. His month included back-to-back 4-point games and a 5-point explosion against Sarnia. He was drafted in the second round of the OHL Priority Draft by the London Knights, was a member of the GOJHL gold-medal winning team at this year’s MacPherson Challenge Tournament and selected to the league’s Future Stars Team.

Nolan Chartrand was almost unbeatable and as a result has been selected the Collins Clothiers Goaltender of the Month for February. The 18-year-old Kitchener native was a big part of the Kitchener-Waterloo Siskins run to the Midwestern Conference regular season title, posting a 6 and 1 record with a 1.42 goals against average, a .953 save percentage and 3 shutouts in the month. He also had one of the best seasons of any GOJHL goalie with a 24 and 6 record, 1.94 goals against, .928 save percentage and a league-leading 8 shutouts. Chartrand played in the 2022 GOJHL Top Prospects game and was a seventh-round draft pick by the Barrie Colts in the 2020 OHL Priority Draft.
