The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the winners of our Collins Clothiers Players of the Month for September. All three players come from Perth County teams and have helped their squads to unbeaten records in the first month of the season.
Player of the Month: Luca Spagnolo (St Marys Lincolns)
The Lincolns captain scored 6 goals and had 9 points in September leading St. Marys to a perfect 5-0 record. Spagnolo is playing his 3rd full season with the Lincolns who currently sit in 2nd place in the Western Conference standings. VIDEO: Spagnolo receives award
Rookie of the Month: Jack McGurn (Stratford Cullitons)
McGurn enjoyed an incredible start to his GOJHL career with 7 points in his first 5 games in the league. It was highlighted by a two goal game including the overtime winner on the 22nd vs Elmira.
Goaltender of Month: Carter McDougall (Stratford Warriors)
Stratford’s early season success also comes in large part to the play of their goaltender. Carter posted a 5-0 record in September, allowing no more than 2 goals in any game.
