The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the winners of our Collins Clothiers Players of the Month for September.
All three players come from Perth County teams and have helped their squads to unbeaten records in the first month of the season.
Luca Spagnolo – St Marys – Player of the Month
The Lincolns captain scored 6 goals and had 9 points in September leading St. Marys to a perfect 5-0 record. Spagnolo is playing his 3rd full season with the Lincolns who currently sit in 2nd place in the Western Conference standings.
Jack McGurn – Stratford – Rookie of the Month
McGurn enjoyed an incredible start to his GOJHL career with 7 points in his first 5 games in the league. It was highlighted by a two goal game including the overtime winner on September 22nd vs Elmira.
Carter McDougall – Stratford – Goaltender of Month
Stratford’s early season success also comes in large part to the play of their goaltender. Carter McDougall posted a 5-0 record in September with a goals against average of 1.58 and a save percentage of .942
