Collins Clothiers Players of the Month | November 2024

The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League is pleased to announce the winners of our Collins Clothiers Players of the Month for November.

Player of the MonthJoey Martin (Elmira Sugar Kings)
9 GP:  8 goals, 11 assists 19 points

The third-year forward had six multi-point games in November, ending with career-highs for assists (4) and points (5) in the Sugar Kings’ 11-2 win over Sarnia on the last night of the month.  With 97 career games played for his hometown Sugar Kings, the Elmira native reached both the 50-goal and 100-point career milestones during the month, and started December tied for the GOJHL scoring lead with 36 points.


Rookie of the MonthVasily Serov (Port Colborne Sailors)
10 GP:  10 goals, 4 assists 14 points

A ninth-round pick of the OHL’s Oshawa Generals in 2023, Vasily recorded three 2-goal games and scored one game-winning goal, helping the fourth-place Sailors to a 6-3-1-0 record for the month.  Among GOJHL rookies, the Moscow native led in goals (15) and points (26), and was tied for the most power play goals (5) through the end of November.


Goaltender of the MonthHayden Jeffery (St. Catharines Falcons)
6 GP:  6-0-0, 1.82 GAA, .935 Sv%, 1 SO

The second-year netminder won all six starts in November, improving his record to 12-3-0 on the season.  The highlight was a 21-save effort to earn his first shutout of the season in a big 1-0 win over Fort Erie on Nov.29.  A second-round pick of the Niagara IceDogs in the 2023 OHL U18 Draft, the Grimsby native was second among GOJHL goalies with 12 wins, and his 2.29 GAA ranked fifth as of the end of the month.
