SHOWCASE 2011 - St. Catharines

The Greater Ontario Junior Hockey League (GOJHL) will be hosting its fourth annual Showcase Event on October 8th in St. Catharines.

The GOJHL's 26-teams will meet to play an interlock schedule that has teams from the West, Mid-West, and Golden Horseshoe Conferences facing off against each other. Each team will play another team from a different conference, with the game counting towards their regular season standings.

The 2010 Showcase in St. Marys had the Western Conference team's winning all of their games over the out of conference opponents.

This season GOJHL has partnered again with past host St. Catharines Falcons to bring the event back to the Golden Horseshoe region. The Falcons organization along with the assistance of the Golden Horseshoe Conference will host the one day showcase at the Seymour Hannah Sports and Entertainment Centre. The facility boasts four ice surfaces and great viewing for all. This is an opportune chance to see and interact with GOJHL prospect players seeking the next level.

This year's event will also include an OUA game featuring Brock University versus the University of Queens.

Many GOJHL graduates have moved on to play varsity hockey in the OUA in the past. This is a great opportunity for current GOJHL players to see the OUA Hockey first had.

The event was a huge success in the last three seasons drawing in thousands of fans and a large number of scouts from across North America.

The 2011-2012 season of the GOJHL begins the first week of September. Now in its sixth season, the league continues to grow and develop great talent to move on to the next level.

• Check-in time is after 4:00pm
• Early Check-ins are not guaranteed but may be requested
• Checkout time is 11:00am.
• Checking out following this time but before 4:00 pm will be subject to the late checkout charge of $59.95 plus taxes and fees, checking out after 4:00 pm will be subject to a full night’s rate

Terms and Conditions

1. If you wish to cancel the whole group you must do so by October 7, 2011

2. Any reservation within your group block can be modified or cancelled 24 hours prior to arrival (by 4pm hotel local time). Cancelling a reservation before this time will result in no charge. Cancelling a reservation after this time, or failing to show, will result in a charge equal to the first night’s stay per room to the credit card on the reservation. Failing to call or show before 7:00 am after the first night of a reservation will result in cancellation of the remainder of your reservation.

3. You may cancel additional nights at least 24 hours prior to your departure (by 4pm hotel local time).

4. Cancellation after this time will be subject to an early departure fee of 50% of the room rate or $50.00, whichever is greater.

5. It is not the responsibility of the Hotel to ensure each guest with your group is aware of the terms of this contract and the group policies. It is up to the Group Contact (you) to make sure that all the group members are aware of this contract rules and group polices. In case of a discrepancy regarding hotel rules during your stay we will abide by the signed contract.
